Froggy Math

In my class we have been doing a Frog problem and these are our answers. Also some of us changed our answers.
A poor frog falls into a deep well.
The well is ten metres deep.He tries
to climb out and manages to climb up three’
metres each day- but he slips back two metres each night.

After how many days will the frog be free?

Aaron - 3 days - 3 metres a day - 3 days = 9 metres
Kurt - 10 days - 3-2=1 x 10 (how many metres in well) Kurt counted the 1’s from 3-2=1 then keep doing this and you get 10
Wil - 7 days - up 3 drops 2 1 day, 3 up 2nd day…
Jack F - 10 days - if you go up 3 m and drop 2 that will leave 1 m and so each day you only go up 1 metre and it will take 10 days to go up 10 metres if you go 1 metre a day

Sammie - 15 days - if you go up and you drop back 2 keep doing this until you cover the 10 metres it will have been 15 days of climbing
Jack N - 8 days - each day up 3 and drops back 2 that’s 1 day, climbs 3 again drops back 2
Jessica - 8 days - up 3 and back 2 keep doing this for 10 metres
Ben - 8 days each  day he moves up 3m and goes down 2m during night
Alex - 10 days - each day he moves up 3 but then he drops 2 so that is 1 and then do that 10 times and that com es to 10.
